To me it is important that both client and therapist take an active role in this process. I typically use multiple types of therapy but overall I am most comfortable with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Short Term Solution Focused Therapy and Psychodynamic Therapy. I believe it is crucial to understand how we came to be the way we are before we can make lasting changes. Once we have this information about ourselves change can be more easily accomplished.
