Hello… My name is Roseanne Jackson I have worked as a Clinical Social Worker in the State of New York for many years. The most important aspect of counseling is having a good therapeutic rapport. I have worked with many people experiencing trauma ( past or recent); anxiety/ depression; adjustment issues ; LGBT issues; aging issues; separation/ divorce and parenting; forgiveness; and self empowerment. I am fascinated by the human experience and love helping people break through those self imposed limitations. I love finding new mental health self care skills and sharing those with my clients. I have a compassionate and non judgmental approach to therapy and use a client centered approach. I firmly believe that each of us knows what is best for ourselves and my job is to assist you in discovering that for your self. I utilize an eclectic blend of treatment modalities :Cognitive behavior therapy, aspects of Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Solution Focused Practice and Psychoeducation .
