I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Florida with almost 20 years experience working with individuals, couples, family, adolescents and children both individually and within the community. I have counseled clients with a wide range of concerns including substance abuse, depression, anxiety, codependency, relationship issues, family problems, trauma, behavioral challenges, grief & bereavement, bipolar disorder, anger management, personality disorders, group therapy and more. My primary approaches to therapy revolve around Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) combined with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and may incorporate Art Therapy as well, if applicable. I also helped many people who have experienced trauma or emotional abuse. I utilize creative, humanistic, and evidenced based client and solution focused practices along with motivational interviewing techniques. I enjoy providing therapy to clients so that they can walk in greater physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual freedom due to healing from the pain(s) of the past. I like to think of the therapist/client relationship as a team that works collaboratively to achieve goals at your pace and will meet you exactly where you are at. My approach is sincere and action based so that you will learn to apply new skills and will be here to coach and support you through the entire process. You can think of me as your editor, as I help you to rewrite your story with a better script that will be more helpful to you as we revise the chapters that continue to keep you stuck.
