I have experience providing individual, groups, and couple therapy to adults and adolescents in different settings. I obtained a Master in Counseling Psychology at the University of West Florida; and my Bachelor Degree in Psychology with a minor in Biology at the University of Puerto Rico. I am a bilingual counselor (English and Spanish) trained in a variation of approaches including Motivational Interviewing, Behavioral Management, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Interpersonal Process Therapy. I usually use an eclectic approach to therapy, treating each person according to his/her’s needs and desires. I specialize in family systems and work in areas of domestic violence, anxiety/depression, trauma, self-harming behaviors, confident and self-esteem issues, stress/life balance, communication and relational issues, and parenting. My training and years of experience qualified me to guide you in your search of balance, functionality, and personal growth. My therapeutic approach include helping you explore and identify patterns of thoughts and behaviors that are preventing you from achieving your goals and expectations. We will work collaborative in your process of healing and a path of forgiveness that could help you make peace with your past and embrace your future. The goal is to make important changes in your life that will allow you to have a life of fulfillment and balance, and to have a healthy relationship with yourself and others.
