About me
Have you felt overwhelmed, stressed, struggling with connecting with others, relationship conflicts, anxiety, depression, or life transitions? Have you experienced loss or significant changes over the last couple of years? If you find that you can identify with any of these or other challenges, therapy may be helpful to find the beauty in what life has to offer! We can do this by exploring the thoughts and emotions that can alter the experience and develop coping strategies to deal with life challenges, and healthy communication skills to improve relationships and overall self-esteem.
I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas for over 14 years and have been offering teletherapy for the past three years. My specialty is anxiety disorders (panic attacks, OCD, general anxiety, phobias etc.).
After driving a truck (yes, a big truck), I decided it was time to make a change by attending Tarleton State University in Stephenville, Texas and graduating with my Masters in Counseling Psychology. I have enjoyed providing meaningful work with people from all walks of life and celebrating many successful changes with wonderful people just like you! I became a mental health clinician because I did not experience an ideal childhood, or initial success with relationships. As my second career choice, I was led by the passion to assist positive change in those of whom I serve.
In my fourteen years of experience, I have worked with adolescents, individual adults, couples, and families in a multitude of environments, including a faith-based organization, health rehabilitation center, and community mental health. Most of my private practice experience has been in overcoming trauma, anxiety, stress management, chronic pain, grief, life balance, addiction (including porn and substance addiction), infidelity, parenting skills, anger management, healthy communication skills, LGBTQ+ challenges, and life transitions.
My goal is to provide a non-confrontational, non-judgmental, objective, safe, and a supportive therapeutic environment. I believe in the power of a compassionate therapeutic relationship to bring about positive change. My approach utilizes person-centered, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and dialectical-behavior therapy (DBT) and Family Systems. I tailor my methods based on your personality and preferences to meet your individual and specific goals.
It takes courage to take the first step in seeking assistance to meet your goals to lead a fulfilling life and find your joy. If you are ready, I am available to walk this journey with you.
I look forward to beginning this journey with you!
