Welcome to my profile. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, licensed in the states of Louisiana and Tennessee. It takes a ton of courage to reach out for help, and congratulations on taking the first step for a positive change in your life. As a counselor, my job is to help you identify your short-term and long-term goals and help you discover the methods to achieve them. I have over 10-years of experience in the field of clinical therapy, and I find a great amount of joy in seeing people reach their objectives and live more fulfilling lives as a result of counseling. My primary expertise includes the treatment of trauma and overcoming the experience(s) of child abuse. I have also worked with clients with a diverse set of concerns including depression, anxiety, stress, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, and obsessive compulsive disorder. My counseling style is warm and engaging; I want the client to know that we are a team and we will navigate our way towards discovering solutions, together. My professional education includes a Master of Arts degree in Psychological Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. I possess two mental health licenses: a Licensed Professional Counselor – Mental Health Service Provider designation in the State of Tennessee and a Licensed Professional Counselor designation in the State of Louisiana. I possess formal board certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I am a Trust-Based Relational Interventions(R) Educator and Practitioner. My counseling philosophy is that people can change the way they feel and behave by changing the way they think. I also believe that therapy is a cornerstone of self-reflection and helps clients identify and achieve goals for increased fulfillment. I will tailor our plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
