Hello! My name is Vanessa Davis and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida. It’s not easy to ask for support and it takes a lot of courage to share your story with a person you’ve just met. I know this, I feel it and I am so honored and grateful for the humans who give me the privilege of listening to their stories. And to any who are fearful to take the first step, signing-up to on-line therapy, even being here and considering it, is brave. And know that regardless of the reason you are seeking support, maybe you are struggling with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, parenting issues, trauma, or maybe you just feel stuck. Whatever the reason you found my profile and I am glad you are here. Your story matters and you deserve to be heard. Now I little about myself. I earned my undergraduate degree in Psychology and my Master in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Central Florida. I have been a counselor for several years and I have worked with clients from all backgrounds and orientations in the community setting and private practice. I have experience in several areas including anxiety, stress, relationship issues and in working with individuals who have experienced trauma such as sexual abuse, neglect, and physical abuse. As a counselor my goal is to assist you live a life that is meaningful and fulfilling. I can help you improve or develop skills that will help you better resolve personal challenges, increase self-empowerment, and overall growth. I use cognitive behavioral, family systems, solution-focused approach to help create a plan that will help you reach your goals.
