My name is Vonetta Parker and I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida and I have been working in mental health for over 10 years. I graduated from Troy University in 2014 with a MS in Counseling and Psychology. I am also an alum of Clemson University. Go Tigers! I have done many jobs in the mental health field and all of them have been so rewarding. I’ve enjoyed perfecting my craft and interacting with people from all walks of life with various struggles. I’ve always loved listening to people’s stories, how they became to be, so to speak. Now, I am in the position to help those people overcome certain obstacles that they may be facing. I have had experience in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, relationship problems, parent/child relational problems, anger, substance use, self-esteem issues, ADHD, and military-connected issues. I enjoy helping people find solutions and helping them see things from a different perspective. I love to laugh and believe deeply in the power of laughter, so I may tell a joke or two! I look forward to working with and for you! One last note: if you ever find that I am not a good fit for you, please don’t give up on counseling! Sometimes, it takes a couple of tries to find the counselor who is a good fit for you and I will help in any way I can!
