I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Hawai’i with over 18 years of experience in the field of social work and social services. I have experience working with individuals suffering from anxiety, depression, bi-polar disorder, marriage/relationship concerns, and personality disorders. Many of us develop coping strategies that, although helpful at the time, no longer serve us. These coping strategies can impact the ways in which we engage in relationships with others, our success at work, and ultimately our happiness and personal satisfaction with life. Examining the ways in which our current coping strategies (work, relationship, family, social, COVID) impact our larger lives can guide us to self-actualization and lifelong change. My therapy style is supportive, accepting and empathic. I employ a person-centered approach to care, focusing initially on developing a therapeutic alliance and a mutual understanding of your reasons for seeking therapy. This creates a trusting, collaborative relationship, focused on your goals and what you want to get out of our time together.
