About me
Welcome! Sometimes it takes a lot of courage to reach out for help and I am so glad you have made your way here. “In life we will suffer”, some experiences knock us down and shake us around a bit. Like you, I too have suffered greatly and have been knocked around in life. Because of this experience, I believe that each of us have the strength we need inside of us to find solutions to the problems and difficulties we face in life. Faith, in my life was a great help and applying it every day became a powerful healing process that I continue to live by today.
My name is Yolanda Rosas. I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in California (LMFT). I have been working in the counseling field for 25yrs. I found my niche in life helping others to live life one day at a time. The mind is very powerful influencer on how we feel and how we react in life. Pain, stress and anxiety can be productive when it moves us in the direction of change. A big part of coping with our daily struggles is learning how to recognize early sign and symptoms to take preventative steps and care for ourselves.
I have experience working with individual, couples and families who are experiencing depression, anxiety, feelings of overwhelm, recent life transitions, grief and loss, chronic health issues, trauma, self-esteem and relationship problems. Often, individuals seek therapy because they feel stuck or unsatisfied with a part of their life or want to explore negative patterns that are holding them back. I also work with individuals who are wanting to improve their feelings of overall happiness, life satisfaction and work towards self-actualization
My approach to therapy is Person Centered approach to develop a collaboratively relationship with you to give voice to things that are causing you pain, and to then work together to find ways that will help you feel better. In my practice I use different interventions depending on what works best including solution focused, narrative, cognitive behavioral and experiential therapy. I believe the most important factor in making change is the ability for you to trust the person you are working with.
